Veteran's Show

Announcements Special Events

Assembly #31 members and regional VP Steve Spence performed at the Veteran's Home in West Lafayette, IN, along with David Kirby and Irish Joe. Taylor Martin, as Rodney The Younger, mc'd, along with 30 year S.A.M.member Phil Dubbs. This all took place on Oct. 26. About 50 veterans who are residents, plus their families, were in attendance. The show was also streamed to the rest of the hospital for those that could not leave their rooms. David Kirby did his classic magic act with a straight jacket escape, Irish Joe did a set of children's magic, Phil and Steve did closeup before the show, and Taylor performed his famous Bullet, Block, and Ribbon. He also provided the music for the event. All that attended seemed to enjoy the performance. A fine piano player named Linda played patriotic tunes and incidental tunes. We thank David Kirby for arranging the show.

Holiday Dinner and Show - Dec 9, 2007

Special Events

Come one, come all to the annual S.A.M./I.B.M./F.C.M./S.Y.M. holiday gathering.    This year's event will be even bigger and better than usual.  This year's extravaganza is being held at the Murat Shrine located in downtown Indianapolis at 510 N. New Jersey St.  Instead of a pitch-in we are trying something a little fancier this year.  There will be a full, all-you-can-eat catered brunch beginning at 1:00 p.m.  The cost of the meal is $13.50 for each person 12 and older and only $5.00 for everyone under 12.  The feast will be truly wonderful for the entire family.  However, if you don't want to eat, feel free to come to the Holiday magic show which will follow the food at 2:00 p.m., downstairs in the Corinthian room.  The magic show is completely free and will feature a wide variety of top notch entertainers.  Please come, bring your family and friends.  This show is open to all who enjoy magic and being entertained.  You won't want to miss this truly magical event.

In order to properly anticipate the number who will be in attendance  we ask that you RSVP your attendance to either Steve Spence (722-0429) or Jim Croop (726-0811) and let us know how many will be in you party and also whether you will be attending both the brunch and the show or whether you will only be attending one or the other.  We'll see you there.
